Preparing for college becomes more apparent the closer you get to college. College entrance exams are one of the most important criteria a college will use to evaluate you. Start early and be even more prepared. Here are the 3 main exams that are available to high school students.
PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT/NMSQT measures reading, math problem-solving, and writing skills that you've been through high school and beyond. The PSAT/NMSQT provides excellent practice experience for the SAT. Another benefit is that you get a chance yo qualify for scholarships and recognition programs.
ACT
The ACT measures English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. The test includes 215 multiple-choice questions. Taking the test takes about three and a half hours including breaks. Actual test time is two hours and 55 minutes. The test is administered on five national test dates, in October, December, February, April, and June in the United States.
SAT
The SAT measures verbal and math reasoning skills. Your SAT scores help colleges evaluate your understanding of these subjects and can also decide what level of mathematics and English you will be placed in upon entering college. The SAT is three hours long covering seven sections.
