| Why Teens Choose to Go to College |

 Preparing yourself for college while in high school can seem like a lot of hard work and is an often a time-consuming task. However, students who want a bright future with a respectful, interesting, and well paying job realize that a college education is the key that will open those doors for them. Many companies do not take applicants seriously if they do not have some sort of college degree. In this day and age a college education is a vital and important asset to have.
In college, students will learn more about the person they are, and for many it will be the first time they will be living on their own. They will learn the value of hard work and self-control. Their professors will not remind them of an assignment, and students will have to make time to do their work if they want to pass.
Some students are being recruited by the Army, Marines, Navy, or Air Force. The armed forces will teach both discipline and pay for their college education. Although it can take years to complete a military obligation, these programs are a wonderful way to get ahead of the game.
Students who will be working hard in athletics at a college prepare for a season that will no doubt push them to the edge. They will meet new coaches and have to work incredibly hard to keep their athletic scholarships or be put in the game. College sports are extremely competitive and students must their heads both in their sports and their studies.
Whatever path students take, whether it be a community college or an Ivy League school, they are turning a page in their lives that will teach them more than math and English. It will teach them about the people they’ll be tomorrow. With or without college, the future will come. The question is, will it be a bright one?
